Onion rings. I really can't say anything else.

Unique, off-the-beaten path, vintage drive-in diner. Simply a place to drop-in, grab a burger or dog, and a shake. There is even a jukebox! The only disapointment really, was the Banana Milkshake that I ordered. The shake was still chunky, wasn't very smooth, so it was difficult to get the chunks through the straw, PLUS the nanners were NOT ripe... so the flavor was very off. Would I go back? Yes. If I ever get my butt back to Nawlins'.

Thank you, fellow Yelpers! We found this random, hole-in-the-wall diner because of you. And it was amazing! My burger was scrumptious and that homemade root beer? I could bathe in it. The fries I could give or take, so next time I'm trying the onion rings. Hubby said the chili burger was awesome and the chili was great on its own. And little man loved his hot dog. ;) Stop here. You won't be disappointed.

I ordered the fried chicken salad with no croutons add onions & it was as if they were mad at the changes I made to my simple salad. The lettuce was wilted & chicken was as hard as a crouton and just plain bland. For an almost $8.00 salad I expected a lot more than warm dressing.

Top notch burger! I don't think you could go wrong with any burger on the menu. I listened to other Yelpers and got the onion rings, I was not disappointed. Oh and I'm not a huge fan of root beer, but their root beer is awesome.

This place is a gem! The root beer is to die for! Everything I've had here has been awesome. But you must order onion rings and a root beer! Such a classic place and I highly recommend this place!

I've never had anything bad here and everything was made better by getting the onion rings as a side. These are the absolute best onion rings in the entire known universe! And the best root beer as well. If you normally order a coke with your lunch take a chance on their home made root beer in a frozen mug! You won't be disappointed. They may not be the fastest of the fast food places (though not slow either) but your food isn't made until you order and it's fresh! Another plus. Try 'em, you'll like 'em. :)

Laplace frostop is awesome! Do not try to go to any other frostop either because it is all about the one and only Laplace Frostop. I do not easy onion rings anywhere else but here; I even dream about them! The rootbeer is the nectar of the gods served in a frozen glass mug. Combined it with ice cream to make a rootbeer float and an ethereal experience awaits. The burgers are great too, but don't be afraid to try anything on the menu. It is all fresh made and extra delicious! Everything is served on a real plate with real flatware. The chairs are comfortable and oh, did I mention, the owners run the place and are always there. Closes at 6 pm monday through saturday, closed on sunday, and is closed all weekend for most every holiday.

This place is AWESOME! Best onion rings I have ever tasted in my whole life. I believe they are hand cut and made fresh to order. The crust on them are flaky yummy goodness and the onion is cooked all the way through. The fries are really good too, I steal some of my sister's fries. ROOT BEER was delicious. I am not usually have a hard time ordering anything other and a coke when dining out. Not here, I tasted my sisters once and I always order root beer now. The root beer is made in house. My usual is a bacon poboy (bacon is always crispy but not burnt, and there is plenty of it) with a side of onion rings and a root beer. Delicious!!

On my way to new Orleans to see my mother we stopped in La Place. This place I was told had good and greasy old time hamburgers. You can walk up to the window or go in and dine. They have burgers and poboys. We both got cheeseburgers and fries. They had the norm flat top grilled burgers. You can tell had a seasoned grill. The fries were hot and crispy. All in all it wasn't a bad place to stop for a quick bite.
